The certification affirms that St. Mary's Hospital goes beyond the requirements of a primary stroke center, with the addition of training, equipment, experience, and personnel for performing thrombectomies and post-care for the treatment of acute ischemic strokes. It is based on standards created by the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association, and granted by DNV GL Healthcare, a certification body operating in more than 100 countries. Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospital relocates its Wound Care Program

St-Marys-In-PageTUCSON (September 12, 2022) – Carondelet Health Network will host a ribbon cutting ceremony, in partnership with the Tucson Metro Chamber, to celebrate the opening of the new location for St. Mary’s Hospital’s Wound Care/Hyperbaric Center.  Previously off-site, St. Mary’s Wound Care program will now operate in a newly constructed location within the hospital’s campus.  This move will grow our outpatient treatment rooms from five to nine, allowing two physician clinics to run at once in order to accommodate more patients.

The Wound Care Center provides state-of-the-art technology, advanced wound care techniques and experienced teams of healthcare professionals to help heal difficult wounds such as diabetic, venous, arterial ulcers, skin tears, traumatic wounds, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.  We also offer hyperbaric therapy for the treatment of various conditions including refractory bone and diabetic infections, compromised skin grafts/flaps, as well as compromised bone and tissue which have been exposed to radiation.  As a comprehensive wound-care center, our team provides expert evaluation, individualized therapy plans and support for each patient.  The multidisciplinary team offers a wide variety of wound specialists, including internal medicine, family practice, podiatrists and vascular surgery providers with extensive experience in wound care and hyperbaric medicine.
