JFK Memorial Hospital is dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare. Our dedicated volunteers are an integral part of our team at JFK Memorial Hospital. As a volunteer you can provide the extra touches and services that help our patients, their families and our hospital staff. These services are provided in a variety of areas and volunteers are encouraged to choose from the following areas of interest:
• Information Desk • Gift Shop • Surgery Waiting Area • Pre Op Surgery Area • Emergency Department • Information Technology (IS) • Clerical & Administrative • Messenger • Special Projects
The JFK Volunteer program is governed by the Hospital Auxiliary. The Auxiliary also manages fund raising activities through the Auxiliary Gift Shop, candy, bake, and book sales. The money they raise goes to a scholarship fund for all the Coachella Valley High Schools, and offer a continued support to the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission.
Our team is comprised of both adult and junior volunteers with titles ranging from CEO (retired) to All Star High School Football Champion.
Your volunteer commitment is only 4 hours a week and our commitment to you is a complimentary meal, reserved parking, uniform provided and area specific training. Most importantly you will have the satisfaction of knowing you are making a difference. Morning and afternoon shifts are available.
For more information about our volunteer program call 760-775-3058 • Membership Chairman Adult Program Gwen Sumpter • Membership Chairman Junior Program: Pam Williams • Administrative/Human Resources Director: Robert Taylor
Our volunteers make meaningful contributions to our hospital, our employees, our physicians and our patients. And, in the meantime, you can make new friends. Become a part of our family of healthcare providers and spend the day fulfilling yourself and others. Make your time count.
